LONDON (28/05/2009) -
Photographer John Harrison of the U.K
was presented with the 3rd Annual Photography Masters Cup Nominee Award
in the category of (Wildlife) at a prestigious live online Winners and Nomination Ceremony
presented by International Colour Awards to recognize excellence in colour photography.
Thousands of images were received from ninety-two countries.
The nominated photographers were selected by a who's who Judging Panel
from the international photography community, including Christie's (New York),
National Geographic (Washington) and Fox Broadcasting Company (Los Angeles).
The Panel reviewed the images online over an eight week period and John Harrison's
"Out Of The Dark,"
an exceptional image entered in the Wildlife category,
received a high percentage of votes overall.
"The Masters Cup celebrates photographers who operate at the highest levels of their craft,"
said the awards Creative Director, Basil O'Brien.
"John Harrison's work represents colour photography at its finest
and we're pleased to present him with the title of Nominee."

BLACK AND WHITE SPIDER AWARDS HONORS PHOTOGRAPHER (John Harrison) FROM (United Kingdom)
LONDON (01/03/2010) photographer John Harrison of the United Kingdom was presented with the 5th Annual Black and White Spider Awards Nominee title in the category of wildlife (2 images) at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photo Show attended by 35,000 online viewers who logged on live from 154 countries to see the climax of the industry's most important event for black and white photography.
Thousands of images were received from 68 countries worldwide. The awards international Jury included captains of the industry from Magnum Photos, The Armory Show, Fratelli Alinari, Contrasto to Tate and Hamiltons in London who honored Spider Fellows with 84 coveted title awards in 28 categories. The judges reviewed the entries online for eight weeks before making their final nominations and John Harrison's "Contemplation," and “20/20” exceptional images entered in the Wildlife category, received a high percentage of votes overall.
